I spent most of my childhood summers in north Devon (Hartland) where my grandparents lived and I recently took my bf there for the first time for a long weekend.
Its a very special place and one where I can always switch off and find myself being inspired by the beautiful coastline and fresh country air. My grandparents had the last house on the way down to one of the most beautiful rugged beaches which never had anyone on it (and still doesn't). For us grandchildren its known as 'Grandpa's beach' and it was always a very magical place with lots of rock pools to explore and have adventures in. At the age of 28 my bf was exactly the same!! I hasten to add I was bare foot and straight into the Atlantic but his wellies stayed firmly on this feet, wimp!
Anyway I just wanted to share a few pictures, enjoy x

If you drive along the coastline you'll get to me! I'm in Braunton near the lovely beaches of saunton, Croye and woolacombe. Hope you feel refreshed after your travels x

ReplyDeleteHi Gemma, the cards arrived today and they are really lovely. My husband says they are too nice to give away to someone. I will use them for special occasions. I love your beach pictures, I come from the Sussex coast, not so interesting as North Devon. I have a blog on my website with pictures of a day on Worthing beach Angel Eden
ReplyDeleteMY Bf loved the rock pools too when we went to brighton last week. He couldn't wait to get in to sea and we were down there at 9.15 am. haha. Wasn't too bad.
ReplyDeletehartland is fab, I used to live in Instow just up the coast - we get back to North devon a few times a year, I really miss it, the south east is very dull countryside wise.
