well I'm afraid that I'm always so predictable, but it's got to be my mum's divine chocolate fudge cake. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with Tiger Teacher you can't beat your mum's chocolate cake. My mum's one used to have an inch of fudge all over it, and through the middle!
ReplyDeleteLemon drizzle cake for me!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on all those 100 and more followers, they obviously like what they see.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite has to be blueberry muffins, though you do have to check your teeth after you've eaten them, black/blue is not a flattering colour.

ReplyDeleteI love all muffins - but especially if they've got fruit & chocolate! Now I've seen Rebecca describe her Mum's cake with Maltesers & Flake I want to try that - it sounds gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHey you're back - hope the new job is still going well. As far as cakes go, the best I make is Delia's chocolate sponge but my secret cake crush is a danish pastry!!
ReplyDeleteHello I have just become a follower. One of my favourite cupcakes is butterfly cakes. You cut a little circle out of the top of the cupcake, fill the hole with whipped cream. Cut the little circle of cake in half and place back on top to create two little wings. Dust with icing sugar...it was always a favourite birthday treat as a child
ReplyDeleteCan't beat a hefty slice of my Mum's bread pudding. I've tried unsuccessfully to replicate the recipe to no avail :(
ReplyDeleteCarrot cake - especially with loads of the creamy cheesey topping. Gorgeous! And yet I could never convince my friends when we were younger that it was good; they thought that putting carrots in a cake was wrong!
ReplyDeleteFavourite cake of all time?? So hard to choose! Think at a push I would have to go for a nice rich dark christmas fruit cake, yum yum!

ReplyDeleteMy favourite is chocolate marble cake, its both pretty to look at and YUMMY too! x Gem
Favourite cakes??? That is a mega difficult question to answer...of course I love the chocolate fudge cake a timeless classic but so is marble cheesecake, oo oo or lemon cheesecake mmmmm, a victoria sponge is always first choice to eat with tea but I would have to say that my favourite cake is a lemon sponge with lemon curd and buttercream filling topped with a little lemon icing...all homemade of course! Oh this comment is making my tummy grumble and I am on a diet!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your follower numbers x
